Website Manager (Global)

Description

To lead the OM International web presence and ensure effective global communication of its mission, brand, and strategic priorities.

Ministry details

a)  Web Strategy and Digital Experience
i)  In collaboration with the GCM leadership team, develop OM International’s global web strategy to reflect OM’s brand, strategy and values
ii)  Execute a plan to guide the user deeper into the OM experience and mission
iii) Ensure all content on the website is on brand, as well as consistent in style, quality and tone of voice
iv) In collaboration with the GCM leadership team, continually improve the effectiveness of online content based on feedback.

b)  Website Development and Platform Management
i)  Oversee the development of OM.org on WORDPRESS, managing the work relationship with the development company
ii)  Work alongside local OM fields/ centres to migrate websites from the Drupal platform to the Wordpress platform
iii) Oversee the maintenance of the current DRUPAL website, managing the work relationship with the development company
iv)  Manage finances and budget related to website development.

c)  Content Strategy and Brand Stewardship
i)  Map out an online content strategy that supports and extends marketing initiatives, both short and long-term
ii)  Maintain online brand standards and be an arbiter of best web practices.
   
d) Team Leadership and Management.
i)  Lead and support an international web team, ensuring clarity of roles, priorities and expectations
ii)  Provide guidance, coaching and professional development to team members
iii) Participate in recruitment and onboarding of web related roles
iv) Maintain an effective and collaborative team culture across geographically dispersed contributors
v)  Set and manage the web team budget.

e) Support
i)  In collaboration with regional communications coordinators and the Global Communication and Marketing leadership team, support the
    development of the websites of local OM field/ centres
ii) Ensure timely response to website-related support requests and operational needs.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Essential 
*  Sufficient WordPress knowledge to be able to be hands-on with website development and support
*  Basic understanding of Drupal to support the maintenance of the existing website
*  Professional degree or experience in the field of communication, marketing or design
*  Strong organizational skills
*  Fluency in English.

Preferred
*  Experience with web design and web technologies (HTML, JavaScript and CSS)
*  Understanding of website plug ins and development options.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

FUNDING MODEL
• This role is expected to be primarily funded through personal support raised by the postholder, in line with the organisation’s
  mission practice.
• Depending on circumstances, the role may be partly salaried and partly support‑raised, with the funding arrangement agreed during the 
  appointment process and reviewed on an ongoing basis. The organisation provides appropriate support and accountability to enable     
  sustainable service.
