We are seeking a dynamic, Spirit-led team member with a heart for church planting and disciple-making among Muslim immigrants. You who are willing to come live in Slettheia, a small suburb of Kristiansand in Southern Norway. This suburb is a vibrant mosaic of cultures—home to Arabs, Turks, Kurds, Somalis, Ukrainians, and Afghans—many of whom are open to spiritual conversations and hungry for hope.
As a Team Member of our pioneering new Church Plant, you can be involved introducing people from all over the world to Jesus and help shape a dynamic intercultural ministry.

About the role:
As Team Member, you will partake in a church planting work among predominantly Middle Eastern refugees and migrants in Slettheia, a suburb in Kristiansand, southern Norway. Together with a small international team, you will shape vibrant discipleship ministry and accompany people on their journey to follow Jesus. So far, the ministry includes language cafés, Bible Study groups and different activities happening at our community centre as well a gathering of Muslim families and individuals once a month. The work is closely linked to local communities and offers plenty of scope for further development and creative design.
Key responsibilities:
- Being part of building up and leading a church planting team of local Christians
- Leading some of the different activities at Slettheia community center.
- Further developing the vision and strategic direction together with the team.
- visiting immigrants and building lasting relationships.
- giving practical help.
- children and youth work.
- evangelistic outreaches.
- starting Bible Study group with interested immigrants.
- Supporting refugees with their integration.
- Sharing God's love through word and deed and accompanying them in faith.
- Cultivating and building relationships with local churches and Christians to motivate and engage them in reaching the unreached.
- Networking with other church planters and churches in Norway.
Qualifications and ability:
- You identify with the values and vision of OM
- Passion and basic understanding of church planting among the least reached
- You have experience in intercultural ministry and ideally in church planting
- Discipleship in small groups is close to your heart
- Pioneer and initiator in a humble, serving and learning attitude
- You enjoy empowering others and working collaboratively with various churches
- You possess leadership skills and love working in a team
- Perspective and passion for long-term living and working in Norway
- Patience and perseverance, even if there are no visible results for a longer period of time
We are looking for you who:
- have an intimate relationship with Jesus.
- You are passionate about bringing Jesus closer to refugees and migrants from unreached regions.
- are able to communicate effectively across cultures, ideally with some language skills (Arabic, Turkish, Somali, etc. are a plus).
- Are eager to learn Norwegian.
- have a church that approves of and supports your ministry.
- Are willing to raise personal support or secure funding for the role.

Our organizational culture is shaped by Christian values and features flat hierarchies.Your employment with us begins with a two-year contract.
We offer you to join our Norwegian language course which we run three days a week and altogether 9 hours a week. Here you may learn Norwegian while at the same time starting relationships with people you are reaching out to.
You will also have regular prayer fellowship with other church planters in Europe as well as attending a yearly gathering with the same people.
