We are seeking a passionate, enthusiastic and nurturing Primary Learning Assistant to join a dynamic Primary staff team.
The assistant’s main activities include:
-getting the classroom ready for lessons and clearing away afterwards;
-keeping the classroom, a neat, welcoming and stimulating environment for the children;
listening to children read or reading to them;
-helping children who need extra support;
-helping teachers prepare materials that match development needs;
-supervising group activities, including outings and sports events;
-helping teachers manage class behaviour;
-receive students in the morning at the entrance to the school and support them in getting to the classroom;
-support and take part in sport and clubs offered by the school;
-complete any other duties assigned by the teacher which relates directly to teaching and learning in the classroom.
Qualifications:
-Higher School Certificate (HSC) or equivalent
-Current Certificate of Character
-Prior experience with children preferred
