Description
As an accountant on the mission field with OM, you will use your financial management skills toward the purpose of seeing vibrant communities of Jesus followers established among the least reached. This important role is vital to ministry on the field. As an accountant in OM, you would provide accountability for the cash transactions conducted on the field and perform duties to assist with accounting functions pertaining to bank accounts, budgets, journal entries, financial reporting and administrative changes, guided by precedent and guidelines of established polices. Participation in local ministry and team life may also be aspects of your role.
Ministry details
We are looking for someone with accounting skills to support OM Mexico and the ministry.
The role requires someone with at least 2 years' experience in finance and accounting systems.
KEY RESULT AREAS
1. General Accounting Ensure that any local finance staff are equipped to undertake their role, including assisting with monthly reconciliations. Follow standard procedures to ensure accounts are up to date.
2. Treasury and cash flow Assist with monitoring cash balances and requirements.
3. Budgets Assist with the preparation of the annual budget and produce reports to monitor the actual performance against the budget
On-the-job training and support will be provided by the existing team.
This is a non-salaried / voluntary position.
