Serve with OM Jamaica and New Horizon Ministries to repair farm structures, rebuild greenhouses, restore equipment, and support agricultural recovery.
Ministry details
This outreach will partner with OM Jamaica/Caribbean to assist New Horizon Christian Outreach Ministries as they restore damaged farming infrastructure. Volunteers will help with small repair projects on the mission station and then transition into broader agricultural recovery efforts such as rebuilding greenhouses, repairing equipment, propagating plants, and supporting farm restoration work.
Purpose
To support Jamaica’s recovery after Hurricane Melissa by repairing farms, equipment, and agricultural systems so food production and community livelihoods can be restored.
Participant profile
We are looking for practical, hands-on volunteers with general Tractor and Automotive, as well as Small Engine and Machine, mechanical, agricultural, construction, or technical skills. Ideally, we are looking for people who are comfortable repairing equipment, assisting with building projects, supporting greenhouse or farm work, or helping with basic manual tasks. Individuals with administrative or household base support experience are also welcome.

Families are welcome with children age 14 and older.
