Description
The Camino outreach is a short term project where you will use your art to reach out to pilgrims walking the Camino de Santiago.
Ministry details
Every year about half a million people are walking this ancient pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela and these days many people are walking in search of ‘something’. Direction in life, processing life events or searching for God as an example. During the Camino outreach you will meet pilgrims where they are and speak Truth into their life’s, by using your artistic gifts and talents. You will witness about Jesus to the pilgrims through the arts. When you sign up for this arts outreach you can choose between two options: You will be based and staying in an albergue right on the Camino de Santiago in Os Muiños and you will reach out to pilgrims walking by and coming in to the albergue. You will walk about 200 km of the Camino de Santiago and reach out to pilgrims that you meet along the way and in the albergue’s where you stay during the walk. Pilgrims are very open to all kinds of conversations and with your art skills you open up or bring depth to these conversations. During the outreach there will be plenty of time for you to create. There is space on the team for all kinds of different art forms. Dance, poetry, music, painting, spoken word, pottery, sketching, theatre, all is welcome. There will be a creative assessment for everybody that signs up. 13.
